| Surprises are great, but not
when it comes to turf products – unless it is the pleasant
surprise that Iron Oak grows and sells 100% certified turf.
The seal of certification gives purchasers peace of mind, knowing
the turf is inspected by the Georgia
Crop Improvement Association, is pure from a genetic
identity standpoint and is grown within a defined set of standards.
Always. Every day. No surprise turf varieties appear in your sod
selection.
Proper land preparation and a comprehensive,
aggressive fertilization & spraying
program, coupled with an overall drive for perfection earned
the certification. Knowledgeable management and a conscientious
eye keep our turf a product you can choose with confidence.
While no one is really perfect, we think striving for perfection
is the only way to grow turf. We are constantly searching for methods
to improve growing and harvesting techniques as well as ways to
continually exceed customer expectations.
Located on 1,020 acres of prime farm land in the northwest corner
of Worth County, GA, Iron Oak Turf Farms is a full
service turfgrass enterprise. With over 550 acres currently
planted, our goal is to not be the biggest but the best. Growing
top quality sod and sprigs for the home owner, landscaper, golf
course or sports field is our top priority. That is why all of our
planted acres are certified as to its genetic purity and identity. Along
with being inspected three times a year by the Georgia
Crop Improvement Association, our personnel monitor
the fields weekly looking for any contamination from other varieties
or off-types and noxious weeds.
We are just 2.5 miles east of GA 300 and 12 miles northeast of
Albany and US 82. Our location allows us to get shipments
to almost anywhere in the quickest time possible. And, we
deliver to your specifications. We can cut the grass in the
traditional slabs, palletized with 504 sq. ft. per pallet, or in
the 42" big rolls at 350 sq. ft. per roll. We can also
deliver the grass as sprigs.
No matter the method of application, try a load from Iron Oak and
see for yourself the difference quality can make in your grassing
